PPSR

The Personal Property Securities Register, Australia's national online register of security interests in personal property.

The PPSR is run by the Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA) under the Personal Property Securities Act 2009. Anyone can search it for $2, and a secured party can register an interest for $6 (up to seven years). It replaced more than 70 state and territory registers in January 2012. The register records that a party claims an interest in goods or other property; it does not record the agreement itself.
