Privacy policy

Sofol Digital Pty Ltd as trustee for the Gaskill Family Trust, trading as On Terms (ABN 33 972 813 770) operates OnTerms. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Business and contact details you give us (business name, ABN, email, phone), the documents you upload (terms of trade, hire agreements, customer lists), details of your customers needed to search and register on the PPSR, and the results of those searches and registrations. We also collect standard web analytics.

Why we collect it

To run free checks, to lodge and manage registrations on your instructions, to notify you about your registrations and your customers' insolvency notices, and to improve the service. Searches against individual grantors are only made for an authorised purpose under s172 of the PPSA that you have selected and we have recorded.

Who we share it with

The Australian Financial Security Authority, through the PPSR, as required to lodge and search; our hosting and email providers (data stored in Australia where available); and no one else except as required by law.

Storage and retention

Documents and register data are kept for seven years after your last transaction, as required for our audit obligations, unless you ask for earlier deletion of documents.

Access and correction

Email hello@onterms.com.au to access, correct or delete your information, or to complain. We respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
