Grantor
The person who grants the security interest: the customer, buyer, hirer or borrower.
The grantor is identified on the register by a specific identifier that depends on what kind of entity it is: an ACN for a company, the trust's ABN for a trust, a partnership ABN, or name and date of birth for an individual. Registering against the wrong identifier is the most common reason a registration fails.
